I've decided to give a blow by blow description of building a website for a client. This document will ultimately be edited and become a case study.
The client is Celestial Harmony Celebrations
The client is a Civil Celebrant, who intends to use her website as marketing tool, and a method for working with her clients to put together ceremonies. Her website audience are becoming more and more internet savy, and tend to use the internet to search for the perfect addition to their ceremony.
I am using Drupal, a free open source content management as a launchpad to get this site up quickly. Rather than start with a specifications document, I am approaching the development using a Wireframe method, where I gather information from the client and put it into the CMS. This lets the client visualize immediately what their content and information looks like on the screen.
Once we have a good site structure working I will start adding the meat to the skeleton - design and functionality.
